A Current Account is a non-interest bearing checking account that comes with debit card and chequebook facilities.
You will be issued a FREE Debit Card, which can be used at all RAKBANK and UAE SWITCH ATMs. A personalised chequebook can be issued upon request for just 25. The first 25-leaf chequebook is free for individual accounts.
Disclaimer: In line with the UAE’s Value Added Tax (VAT) implementation, a 5% VAT will be levied on RAKBANK’s fees and charges wherever applicable and as per UAE law.

Current Accounts are non-interest bearing accounts. Accounts in JPY will incur negative interest that will be charged on a monthly basis.
If the average monthly balance falls below the minimum average balance.
A RAKBANK Current Account allows you to apply for a credit card, overdraft facility, and a cash-secured facility, subject to the bank’s approval.
If applicable, ledger fees will be charged on your Current Account, if the average monthly balance falls below the minimum requirement.
Interest is not paid on Current account. Note: Current Accounts in JPY will incur negative interest that will be charged on a monthly basis.
You can expect your account statements either monthly or quarterly, depending on your chosen preference.
Current Accounts are available in AED, USD, Euro, and GBP. Other currencies are available upon request.
